Leather exports decline by 10% in FY24 due to subdued demand from the US and Europe

The export of leather and leather products, including sports goods, from India dropped by nearly 10% to $4.28 billion in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024, compared to $4.75 billion in the previous year. This decline was primarily attributed to weak demand in key markets such as the US and Europe.
